There are two main types of driving mechanisms for crane operation: one is centralized drive, that is, one motor drives the long drive shaft to drive the active wheels on both sides, and the other is driven separately, that is, the active wheels on both sides are driven by one motor. Small and medium sized overhead cranes are mostly driven by the "three in one" drive combined with brakes, decelerators and motors. Large bridge cranes with large lifting weights are easy to install and adjust.
The crane operating mechanism usually only uses four active and driven wheels. If the lifting load is large, it is often used to increase the wheel to reduce wheel pressure. When more than four wheels are used, the articulated balancing frame must be installed to make the load of the crane evenly distributed on the wheels.
The metal structure of the bridge consists of main girder and end beam, and is divided into two types: single girder bridge and double beam bridge. The single girder bridge consists of a single main girder and an end beam located on both sides of the span. The two girder bridge consists of two main girders and end beams.
